One of my frustrations in life...
Not being able to finish Super Mario World. Yes, that 2-dimensional, pipe warping, koopa-stumping, mushroom eating, pasta devouring, plumber of ours has never been finished by yours truly. And yes, it's been killing me for a few months that I should buy that dusty Famicom just to finish the damn game. I've even saved up a thousand pesos for that!
But Greenhills saved me. One particular stall, selling PS2 DVDs (fake of course!) had ALL the Mario games from Famicom to Gameboy to SNES! I was so shocked and excited I bought it. Funny though, Mario belongs to Nintendo and people can play it on Playstation.
Well, it turned out it was just a collection of emulators and encoded in Playstation2 settings... something like that. The game looked just the way I remembered it. There were save points so I didn't have to worry about the system or the TV to overheat. Sadly, it didn't have any sounds. So a bit of the nostalgia is gone.
But hey, the point is I get to play it all over again!
