Last Leg

I'm officially home alone now.

Dad's maid left yesterday~ which was unexpected. She was supposed to leave after I leave. It turned out yesterday morning [as I was watching Sunday morning kiddie cartoons dubbed in Bahasa], she came to me, limping. She told me that as she was going home from the market, she had a hit and run encounter with a motorcyle. As she was thrown to the concrete pavement, passersby ran to grab her vegetables and other belongings instead of helping her.

She came home in bruises, scrapes and bleeding palms and legs. The wounds were gory and morbid; I couldn't hide my gasp of shock and disbelief. She was worse than my brother whenever he would go 'x-games' with the bicycle and end up of the sidewalk of our street. I gave her paracetamol for the pain.

When dad got back from his golf [where he won!], the maid had asked to leave so that she could have her wounds taken cared of. So dad gave her the remaining balance.

Crab mentality is so popular in 3rd world countries. In a dog eat dog society, you can't blame people for applying the adage, 'survival of the fittest'. They live off the misfortunes of other people and try to take advantage of it. That's probably why 3rd world countries stay 3rd world-ish. Nobody wants to help other people. They only want to help themselves.

Take the government for example... but that's another issue.
