One Summer Day

My mom just celebrated her *censored!*th birthday today. After my classes, I went to Makati to meet her and Anne to eat lunch. We ate at Big Buddha. Food, especially Lemon Chicken, was good. We couldn't eat everything so we had 'em packed for us. Replay ng pagkain mamaya.

The restaurant was full of office workers. In a table near ours, the people were talking about students taking summer internships. They were talking about the ages of their interns... the eldest was 23 and the youngest was 19. I glanced at one of the women's ID and said PLDT. One of my close friends is taking a practicum in PLDT. Baka kilala siya...

I wanted to watch "The Interpreter", who (coincidentally), was recommended by the same friend taking the practicum in PLDT. Gusto ng kapatid ko, "Can this by love?".... ah! Uwi nalang ako! We couldn't decide what to watch without causing the other to feel bad. In the end, wala rin kaming napanood.

We went to Powerbooks Live, which was on sale. I was telling my sister not to buy books anymore because it's cluttering our room. She reads it once and tapos na! I had been getting annoyed by the fact that I have to fix the books in the room time and again.

I went home after browsing through some titles. I still had a lot of books to read at home. Not to mention that the school's library already has an extensive collection of fiction books.

Got home, played with the dog and read the newspaper. Took a bath kasi pinawisan ako... kahit nagbabasa lang ng dyaryo. After a few minutes, mom and Anne went home. She bought a new pair of shoes.

I called the Nihongo Center to ask about class schedules for Elementary 3. The woman there said that I have to take a diagnostic test to see which level I can be put in. Isn't passing 4kyu enough? I mean, I wanted to take Elementary 3 because I'm preparing for 3kyu. Anyway, I'll see if I can convince them to let me take Elementary 3 without taking the diagnostic exams. Kasi 250 ang bayad pag kukuha nun! humph! Lahat nalang may bayad, ang mahal pa!
